Looks like I'm reviving my blogger page again. There are some folks out there doing some amazing things that I'd like to follow and cheer them on.
And this site has changed a lot since I was here last, so I have some brushing-up to do. I'm hoping its more user friendly than before.
Have a fantastical day!

It been a while I know! Life has been full and busy! I'll make a list...
1. Bought our first home in Roy UT. It 51 years old but we love it, its so nice having our own place.
2. We, in 3 months, with the help of our wonderful family, remodeled our new home. New HVAC, windows, kitchen, flooring, paint, molding & trim. Plus we pretty much gutted our very overrun yard.
3. Galen Graduated with his bachelors in information security systems and he is so escited to be done
4. I started back to school and started working a bit more. I also sterted watching my nephew Donovan and the girls love having a friend to play with.
5. Avery decided to potty train and she doesnt quite get it yet, but we wre getting there.
Hopefully evveryone is good and things start to settle down around here so that I can post more regularly!

A poop story
This is a funny story not because of the poop but because of the conversation. Jinger and Avery were taking a bath tonight and while they were playing in the bubbles I went into their bedroom to get their towels and PJ's. (it's right next to the bathroom) and this is what I hear. (and I'm not making this up)
"Um..." Avery
"What is it?" Jinger
"Um" Avery
"WHAT IS IT" Jinger (slightly more alarmed)
"Um... POOP!" Avery
"No it's not! Poop goes in the toilet!" Jinger
"What is it Ave?" Jinger
"My Poop!" Avery
"MOM! (very high pitched and frantic) "Avery Pooped in the bathtub and it's on me! It's disgusting!")
So I head into the bathroom just as Jinger is scrambling to get up and out of the water. I am just about to help her out of the tub and wham! She slips and splashes back into the water. (which gets everywhere) By now she is hysterical saying over and over " Avery got her poop on me! Wash it off!" Avery in the mean time is just sitting there trying to figure out what is going on, but becaues Jinger is so upset she starts to get upset.
"Avery did you poop in the water" me
"YES!" Jinger
"um... poop." Avery
And even though it was pretty disgusting I was doing my very best to put on my sympathetic face and to calm them both down. (I didn't want either of them to think it was a funny situation by any means.)
So. I get them both out let the water drain clean out the poop and then stand them back in the tub to wash the poop off of them and then take them back out to re rinse the tub.
"Mom, are you gong to wash the bathtub with soap?
"yes Jinger"
"Before we have to go back in?"
"yes Jinger"
silence
"cuz that's disgusting"
So I scrub the tub get it refilled add new bubbles and put the girls back into the tub. They sit there both subdued and quiet despite my reasurances. After a minute...
"Ave next time let me get out first ok"
"K" Avery
(I'm off to go clean my bathroom!)

Need Washing?
This little story was sent to me and I thought it had a message that needed to be shared
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no timeto flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance wewere all caught in
Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing. Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

'Mom let's run through the rain,' she said.
'What?' Mom asked.
'Lets run through the rain!' She repeated
'No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit,' Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated:
'Mom,let's run through the rain,'
'We'll get soaked if we do,' Mom said.
'No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning,' theyoung girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?
'Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer , you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get usthrough anything!'
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say.Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
'Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing,' Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughingas they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing. I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN

New Years in California
So this year we decided to spend New years in California with Galens family. We waited to leave till the girls bedtime and then drove through the night. We made really good time and it was so nice to have the girls sleep through the night. We had so much fun spending time with his brother brandon and his wife Eppy and their beautiful girls Katie and Shaylee.
The lame thing is I didn't take my camera ot except on the day Grandma brock kept all the kids and sent us off to San Francisco. Even then I only took a few. Weird!

This is just oe of the piers but it caught my eye because all the boats were lined up so perfectly and they had so many bright colors. It looked like a post card. The one below was Galen favorite thing about San Fran..... This bush! Well actually this bush is just a bunch of tree limbs and there is a man sitting behind them. He is called "The Bush Man" (you can even pull him up on youtube) anyway this is his job and basically he sits in different places along the warf and junps out at people to scare them. Then people put money in his can! Its rumored that he makes over $100,000 a year! Galen laughed his head off! (it was pretty funny)

I thought it was kind of neat that they still turn the street cars manually! Just like they did back in the day.

Christmas.... finally!
All right, so I'm a little behind. I know but I figured it was better late than never.
This christmas we decided to get the girls a kitchen set and all the fun stuff to go with it. After looking and looking we got this one online for a really reasonable price. I am so glad we did. Its wooden and really sturdy and there is a ton of space for the girls to load it up! This is Christmas morning and right after they walked around the corner they saw it and went nuts! It was so cute. Galen got then from the front with the video camera and they have the cutest expressions on their faces! We could hardly tear them away to open their other presents!
